High-Performance Programs
& Services
Curling Ontario delivers high-performance services across the province to support athlete development from the Train‑to‑Train through Train‑to‑Compete stages of the Long‑Term Curler Development (LTCD) model. In partnership with Curling Canada, we advance athlete skills through direct training, coach development, and targeted programming aligned with Curling Canada’s Gold Medal Profile (Olympic podium benchmarks).
Next Gen Program — Applications Open for 2026–27
Curling Ontario is now accepting applications for the Next Gen Program for the 2026–27 season. The program supports 12 teams of athletes with proven competitive success who are actively planning to train and compete in 2026–27.

OUR APPROACH
- Stage‑based programming: offerings are tailored to athlete age, LTCD stage and pathway placement.
- Coach development: practical, evidence‑based learning to lift coaching standards across clubs and regions.
- Funding model: some programs are subsidized; others operate on a user‑pay basis depending on scope and resources.
- Multi‑agency partnerships: we leverage provincial and national sport supports, including CSIO, MHSTCI, ParaSport Ontario, Canadian Olympic Committee/Own the Podium, and the Canadian Paralympic Committee.
