CURLING AT ONTATIO COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES

Many Ontario and Canadian post‑secondary institutions offer curling through varsity teams or recreational clubs. Some schools are developing programs and seeking athletic department support. To help build awareness, Curling Ontario maintains a listing of active college and university programs.

Check our list to see if your school has a curling program. Note: only schools that have submitted information to Curling Ontario are listed. If a school is not listed, it may still have a program—we just haven’t received its information yet.

Program administrators: to add or update your school’s listing, please complete this form.

Competition pathways
  • Colleges: Ontario colleges compete in the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) and nationally in the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA). College athletes compete at the OCAA championships each spring in four‑player and mixed doubles events. provincial medallists may be invited to the CCAA national championships, typically held alongside the U‑Sport university championships.
  • Universities: Curling is a varsity sport in Ontario University Athletics (OUA). OUA men’s and women’s four‑player championships currently feature 16 teams each. Mixed doubles is not a varsity OUA sport at present. OUA medallists may be invited to the U‑Sport national university championships in March, organized by Curling Canada. In alternating years, the Canadian university champion may represent Canada at the FISU World University Winter Games (Universiade).
