2024-25 Curling Ontario Clinics Program

Club Hosted Clinics

Curling Ontario continues to offer a variety of turnkey, group instruction clinics for Member Clubs to present for their own club members in-house.

Clubs interested in hosting a clinic in their club may do so by online request below.

Presented by  trained and experienced Instructors following approved technical lesson plans, clinic attendees are provided instruction on basic delivery and brushing techniques, skill analysis, and strategy development. The Curling Ontario CCP Club Hosted Clinics also offers a specialized “stick delivery” clinic and Clubs may build their own 3-hr clinic with selections from a variety of both on and off-ice topics.

Terms And Conditions

1. The CCP option runs from October 1 to March 31.

2. The CCP is not to be used to replace any Adult Learn to Curl (AL2C) program.

3. Online requests only, a minimum of four weeks prior to the preferred and requested host dates.

4. Clinic requests are filled first come/first served in the system and filled on Instructor availability.

5. Clubs may select additional Clinics as per the following CCP Costing Schedule>>

6. Clubs requesting 2 clinics on the same day will be required to provide lunch or a per diem to instructors.

7. Clubs are required to manage their own participant registration.

8. Curling Ontario will invoice clubs within 7 business days of the completion of the clinic for the following as per the fee schedule:

    • clinic costs
    • instructor honorarium ($30/ hr for first instructor, $25/ hr for additional instructors)
    • any applicable mileage (.45/km)
    • Per diem (if two clinics run on the same day and no lunch is provided).  Per diem is invoiced at $15.00/instructor).

9. Completing the request will not guarantee your clinic. A clinic regional lead will reach out to you to confirm after your request is submitted.

Why host a clinic?

Here is what our Regional Leads have said about the Curling Ontario Clinic Program (CCP):

Curling Ontario Clinic Program (CCP) is a great program where clubs can seek out great instruction for their members over and above the local training that they might get from their own members (Learn-to-Curl) and the fee structure provides great value for clubs

Important notes to clubs

  • Please be advised that although Curling Ontario will work to fulfill your request, it will very much depend on Instructor availability on the dates requested. Curling Ontario may negotiate alternative arrangements with the club contact, if the primary request cannot be facilitated as submitted.
  • A minimum 4-week lead time submission prior to the preferred hosting date is required, to allow for confirmation of available Instructors.
  • Club to provide video (large screen TV or projector) and audio system for off-ice sessions.
  • Clubs are to complete a separate online application for each clinic being requested, even if it’s a second clinic on the same date.
  • Curling Ontario will invoice the club for any additional clinics requested after their completion. For more information on the CCP, or to request a clinic, please email tracy@ontariocurling.ca.
