For the 2026–27 season, Curling Ontario will support 11 teams through its NextGen Program.

Curling Ontario is committed to developing competitive athletes to reach national and international podiums. We work closely with Curling Canada and the Canadian Sport Institute of Ontario (CSIO) to identify and support athletes tracking toward potential Olympic performance in upcoming quadrennials, and to align with Curling Canada’s national Next Gen initiatives.

Recognized as a national best practice, Curling Ontario continually reviews its programming using feedback from:

• Curling Canada’s High Performance Plan
• High performance and strategic planning survey results
• Membership input
• Team performance and engagement
• Funding partners, including CSIO and Curling Canada

Selection criteria for the NextGen Program are approved by the Curling Ontario Board of Directors and applied by the Operations team during team selection.
