Curling Ontario is thrilled to announce that nominations are now open for our prestigious awards program, honouring individuals and clubs/organizations who have made exceptional contributions to the sport of curling in Ontario.
We invite you to nominate deserving candidates for the following awards:

This award recognizes individuals or groups who have made extraordinary contributions to curling and their community. As a nominator, you have the opportunity to shine a light on a dedicated contributor at your club who enhances the experience for everyone and is always willing to lend a hand for the greater good. The Community Hero Award celebrates those who display remarkable commitment to their local curling community through volunteer work, innovative initiatives, or outstanding leadership.

The Lifetime Achievement Award — Athlete category

This Athlete Category recognizes outstanding competitive achievement by Ontario curlers whose accomplishments have significantly advanced the sport. Recipients are selected based on meeting one of the following criteria (this award is not open for public nomination): winning two Canadian championships with at least one being the Brier or Scotties (or being part of a team that won a Men’s or Women’s World Championship); winning any three Canadian championships; or winning five Curling Ontario provincial titles (a maximum of one youth event may count toward the five provincial titles).

The Lifetime Achievement Award — Individual or Builder Category

The Individual or Group Builder Category acknowledges those who have shown extraordinary commitment to building the sport of curling in Ontario. Their lasting contributions have positively impacted curling in their community, organization, or the province. This award celebrates individuals who have made significant achievements on the ice as well as those whose invaluable contributions behind the scenes have shaped the sport for future generations.

This award celebrates and recognizes an individual or curling club/centre that welcomes, promotes and supports underrepresented and/or marginalized communities. This individual or organization demonstrates the appreciation and celebration of Inclusivity, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility (IDEA) in the sport of curling.

The Club Volunteer Award stands as a testament to the invaluable contributions of dedicated individuals who selflessly devote their time and effort to support the growth and success of curling clubs across Ontario. Curling Ontario will provide up to 3 pins per year to clubs to present to the volunteers within their club who exemplify long standing volunteerism. Those submitting their club’s nomination may also confirm if they would like to have their volunteers names published on the Curling Ontario website.

Clubs are invited to recognize and celebrate these individuals by submitting the names of their deserving nominees through the provided form link.
