Officiating Pathway

The following structure for training and development of Curling Officials and Umpires to officiate at Curling Ontario Provincials or Curling Canada National Championships.

Time Clock Operator

‘New’ online opportunity to become certified and start timing at CurlON provincials.

Game Umpire

Training to become a game umpire and work towards becoming a Level 3 umpire to work at Provincial Events.

Level 3 Umpire

Provincial Chief Umpire training program to work towards becoming a Level 4 Umpire to work at Nationals.

Level 4 Umpire

National Game Umpire and Deputy Chief umpire training program to certify and work at Nationals.

Level 5 Umpire

National Chief Umpire to be the Chief Umpire at National and International events.
