CurlON is excited to announce the commencement of nominations for its esteemed awards program, recognizing exceptional individuals and clubs/organizations whose dedication and efforts have significantly impacted the sport of curling in Ontario.

Nominations are now open for the following awards:

Community Hero Award

The Community Hero Award shines a spotlight on those who have displayed remarkable commitment to their local curling community. Whether through tireless volunteer work, innovative initiatives, or extraordinary leadership, this award celebrates the unsung heroes who have gone above and beyond to support and promote curling at the grassroots level. Nominate a candidate who has made a meaningful difference in their club, league, or community through their unwavering dedication and passion for the sport.

EDI Award

Dedicated to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion within the curling community, the EDI Award recognizes individuals or organizations that have spearheaded initiatives to create a more welcoming and inclusive environment for all participants. From educational programs and outreach efforts to policy advocacy, this award seeks to honor those who are leading the charge in advancing EDI principles in curling, ensuring the sport is accessible and welcoming to everyone.

Lifetime Achievement Award

In tribute to a lifetime of extraordinary contributions to curling, the Lifetime Achievement Award celebrates individuals who have left an indelible mark on the sport. Whether through their achievements on the ice or their invaluable contributions behind the scenes, this award recognizes individuals who have shaped the sport and left a lasting legacy.

“It’s that time of year again to recognize and celebrate the outstanding individuals and clubs/organizations who have dedicated themselves to the sport of curling,” said Matt Allen, Executive Director of CurlON. “We encourage everyone in the curling community to nominate deserving candidates for these awards.
