Glanford Curling Club (GCC) in Mount Hope, Ontario is looking for a Full Time Ice Technician to install 3 sheets of ice and ensure optimal curling ice throughout the season.

The Ice Technician position runs from mid September to mid April with flexibility of working hours.

Responsibilities of Ice Technician

• Care and maintenance of plant and equipment
• Preparation of the facility for beginning of season
• Install ice in mid September/October and remove ice in mid April
• Ongoing maintenance of ice to GCC standards
• Ensure curling ice is ready for all league play, bonspiels, rentals and events
• Ensure cleanliness for all areas inside the curling rink (ice surface, carpets, etc)
• Curling rock maintenance
• Communicate to GCC board designate on a regular basis

Attributes

• Experienced ice maker with a minimum of Level 2 Curling Technician certification
• Ability to work independently
• Excellent communication skills

Remuneration to be based on experience.
