Assistant Ice Technician & Curling Administrator

Salary: $41,000 – $45,500 (Salaried, Year-Round)

Anticipated Start Date: September 1, 2025, or earlier to assist with Golf Operations

 

The Ice Technician & Curling Administrator is a year-round position that supports both Curling (September to April) and Golf Operations (May to August). Reporting to the Head Ice Technician & Assistant Curling Manager, this role ensures that the Curling Rink is maintained to Donalda’s high standards and plays a key administrative role in supporting curling operations, bonspiels, and seasonal programs.

 

What You’ll Be Doing

Assist with installation, maintenance, and removal of curling and skating ice surfaces. Maintain excellent playing conditions through daily scraping, pebbling, and cleaning. Monitor and log refrigeration systems and humidity levels in compliance with TSSA. Support league, bonspiel, and junior program operations. Promote events through social media and ensure up-to-date website content. Manage member registrations, records, and curling-related software and databases. Assist with setup of curling lounge and support member events. Participate in Golf Operations during the summer season.

 

What We’re Looking For:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum 3 years of experience in ice maintenance with a history of quality results. Level 2 Ice Technician certification preferred; Level 1 will be considered. Curling administration experience is an asset. CPR and First Aid certified. Strong communication skills and a team-player attitude. Able to perform medium-heavy physical work and work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
